CLASS NEWS

Week of September 16th-September 23rd 

• Rio Rocks FRIDAY, SEPT. 16th: Rio Rocks promises to be a warm day, please send your child to school wearing appropriate and comfortable clothing, hat and water bottle. Also, you might want to equip your child with mosquito repellent.

• Volunteers for October 17th: We need volunteers for an in-school Art field trip we just booked. Please check out the Field Trip Sign Up Sheet here on the right and let me know if you can help us out. Danke sehr!

• MIPI Results:  Grade 6 students received their Math Assessments results last Wednesday. Booklets need to be signed and returned. Grade 5 students will receive their results on Monday, Sept. 19th. 

• Sandwiches Project: Thank you for signing up for this project ! Our first round will begin on September 23rd; when Katja and Harry will bring the ingredients they signed up for and will be making sandwiches in the staff room during lunch time.

• Home Reading Program:  We started a new reading program, with monthly prizes and a monthly draw for free Laser Quest passes. Please support your child by initializing her/his home reading sheet and helping track reading.

• Mathletics: We have access to a very valuable resource, at school as well as at home.Your child's log in information is on the second page of the agenda. Please read this letter to familiarize yourself with Mathletics and see how you can support your child using this learning tool.
