WE NEED VOLUNTEER PARENTS FOR THE TELUS WORLD OF SCIENCE FIELD TRIP THIS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 3RD, 

9 AM TO 11:30 AM


  • Message from our Librarian: Please consider helping at the book fair! We are short of volunteers both days, but especially on Thursday.

    We have large gaps during the busiest time (after school until 8 pm) that have no volunteers or only one. We've made the shifts only half an hour long so perhaps people with just a little time can take part, For those that can take a longer shift, please sign up for whatever time you are available. We can't do this without you!

  • Remembrance Day assembly on Wednesday, November 9th at 10:45 a.m.   All parents and families invited. Please encourage students to bring in donations for the Poppy Fund. Students are encouraged to wear red on the day. 

  • Martin's Day Parade: Please read this letter and RSVP as soon as possible via email. Thank you.
  • Home Reading Program:  In October we are keeping tracks of reading MINUTES, both in E. and G., with monthly prizes and a monthly draw for free Laser Quest passes. Please support your child by initializing her/his home reading sheet and helping track reading. 
  • Snow Angels: Room 401 Snow Angels are back in action. Please sign and return this field trip form and send a snow shovel to school at your earliest convenience. Thank you!
  • Sandwiches for Homeless: Students will make the sandwiches at school and the teachers will deliver them to the homeless on the weekend. Click on the image to see a schedule for donations drop off.

  • Halloween: Students will change into their costumes after lunch. Students are not to come to school wearing their costumes (with the exception of morning kindergarten classes). Costumes must be appropriate for an elementary school (not gory and no weapons- even toy ones!). PARTY TO START AT 1 PM

  • Smart Photography: The return date has been extended to TUESDAY, OCTOBER 11th. Memory book: more than one ordered is an additional $10.00. 
  • MLA Lorne Dach read in the library, we had a discussion about Provincial government. He left us this letter.
  • Schoolzone: Parents, make sure your email address credentials are correct in SchoolZone.  All parents are able to change their own email addresses in SchoolZone by clicking on the 'My Account' tab once they are logged in.  This information is critical for sending out bus changes, progress reports, etc.
