CLASS NEWS

Week of September 9th-September 16th 

• Sandwiches Project: Thank you for signing up for this project ! Our first round will begin on September 23rd; when Katja and Harry will bring the ingredients they signed up for and will be making sandwiches in the staff room during lunch time.

• Student Information Envelopes: Please check the information contained in the envelopes and send them back to school.

• Scholastic Orders: Please send yours in on Monday

• Home Reading Program:  We started a new reading program, with monthly prizes and a monthly draw for free Laser Quest passes. Please support your child by initializing her/his home reading sheet and helping track reading.

• Mathletics: We have access to a very valuable resource, at school as well as at home.Your child's log in information is on the second page of the agenda. Please read this letter to familiarize yourself with Mathletics and see how you can support your child using this learning tool.

UPCOMING DATES AND EVENTS

Monday, September 12th, 2 pm: City Hall School Teacher Linda Hut visiting our classroom to hand our students the key of the city and brainstorm about possible activities during our week at City Hall School (January 2017).

Wednesday, September 14th:  First running at Laurier Park for the Cross Country Running Club members

Friday, September 16th:  Rio Rocks all afternoon

Monday, September 19th:  First School Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. 

Friday, September 23rd:  Picture Day, Sandwiches Project starts at lunch time

Wednesday, September 28th:  Running race at Millwoods Park for the Cross Country Running Club members
