HOMEWORK:

• ELA: Read your novel for the Hero's Journey analysis. (Record reading minutes in your agenda, they count towards your monthly reading goal!) 
• ELA/German: Get your nightly reading signed (monthly goal: 1000 minutes). 
• Math: Problem solving activities due Monday, February 8th. (Pages 7-12 from booklet) 
• SIGN AND RETURN Grade 5 Social booklet with marks from website and presentation.
• Practice your knitting.
• Grade 5: Bring your supplies AND PAYMENT for your car project by MONDAY, February 8th

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

• NO SKATING on Feb. 5th and Feb 19th, due to Artist in Residence.
• HAIR MASSACURE: Please support our team, AVENA THE BRAVE/ Room 401. We will be fundraising as a class. Some of us are "pinking" as well. Thanks to Sara Bard (Harry's mom), who volunteered to pink our hair in class ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 8th.
• SNOW ANGELS: WHEN IT SNOWS OVERNIGHT, PLEASE:
  Send your child to school equipped with a snow shovel,which (s)he will be bringing home at the end of the day.
• Mathletics: We have a new tool to foster our Math literacy at school and at home. Your child has obtained a password to access this website (glued on the 2nd page of their agenda). You can also get email updates to see your child's progress. More information here.
